The Creek of Sormiou

A small road called "Path of Sormiou" leaves Marseilleveyre, and take you in a few minutes at the end of the world!

The scenery, you're in the creeks of Marseilles, and will dive on the Creek of Sormiou engaged after a few dizzying laces.

Accessible by car *, this little paradise two not Marseille is acclaimed by fans of fishing, hiking and climbing. You are at the edge of the water and can leave your car for a few euros.

The beach and the turquoise waters are at your feet and invite you to swim. A small path of pleasant walk following the water and addresses the small fishing port of Sormiou and its pretty cabins *. Move more,... time stops!

* The huts
Originally, these are simple shelters of fishermen; the huts allow ranger nets and spend the night at the shelter. From the beginning of the 20th century, they became small houses or the marseillais come to relax on weekends with ease, by practising an art of living close to nature, without electricity and running water, with great respect to the places and traditions. Isn't "cabanonier" who wants!

The trick
When access is forbidden to cars, and you have to leave it in the parking lot of the location, you have to count leisurely and enjoying the grandeur of the scenery an hour on foot to join Sormiou. The trick, for the privilege to drive down periods regulated, is to book your table at the Restaurant the Castle (which you will find the phone on Marseille City Life in out/Restaurants), you say you go ahead because the place is mobbed with sunny days.
