A new look at Provence.
Opened in 2013, the Regards de Provence Museum is located in the former sanitary unit built by architects Champollion, Fernand Pouillon and René Egger in 1948. It is intimately linked to the city of Marseille and its port, having been one of the main gateways and the starting point for travelers and immigrants arriving by martim and air routes.
Completely rehabilitated and redesigned, the place offers 2,300m² of surface, including four exhibition spaces (collection of the Fondation de Provence and exhibitions dedicated to modern and contemporary art and the history of the place), restaurant with terrace, bookstore, shop, reception area.
In its rehabilitation has been preserved part of the old sanitary unit with a full room dedicated in Marseille". The different spaces are thus made available to the works, mainly paintings, and make discover Marseille, Provence and the Mediterranean to visitors.
