Departmental Museum of Ancient Arles

It's in a building contemporary, built on the remains of the Roman circus by Henri Ciriani, as the Museum District Ancient Arles, this archaeological collections of Arles (everyday objects, architectural elements, mosaics, sarcophagi, models...).

This must-see visit is needed to better understand the evolution of the Roman city.

Guided tours of the permanent collection

The Museum in July and August, every day at 3 pm, except Tuesday & 15 masterpieces, every Sunday at 15: 00.

For a first discovery of major works that make up the collection of the Museum: bust alleged Jules Cesar, models of monuments, sculptures, mosaics, sarcophagi and the Gallo-Roman barge Arles - Rhône 3.

Thematic visits

Sunday at 11: : A guide-lecturer offers you a commented in the Museum, for a reading thematic and in-depth of the Museum's collections.
