The Theatre Silvanus is an open-air theatre capable of hosting about 2,800 people. It is located at the bottom of the Valley of the fake currency in Marseille.
A bit of history...
It was opened on 14 July 1923 by Eugène Silvain and his wife, Madeleine, all two members at the Comédie-Française, on land purchased by Dominique Piazza, the inventor of the postcard.
It is said that during a walk on the scene with their friends, the couple Silvain was struck by the acoustic quality of a discussion between players from balls to the bottom of the Valley: Madeleine Silvain who then joined the boulomanes sang a resounding Marseillaise. It was not for that he is decided to install a theater of greenery in these places!
Not a single stage in a green two of the sea!
