The Prado beaches

The beaches of Prado were built in the 1970s by Gaston Defferre, in Seaside Park of the Prado, lawned and wooded, areas areas games, bowl, and beaches.

The Prado North Beach

It's the old beach of Roucas Blanc, IE the first when we get there by the ledge before the statue of David.
She has what it takes for relaxation and recreation while being monitored and provided in toilets.
It is a gravel beach that attracts a younger audience and families of the morning the afternoon.
It is not uncommon that sporting events take place on adjacent lawns.

The Prado South Beach

Marseille say they gather to swim at "David".
Easily accessible, it is the first bus stop in service to the beaches, so it is often crowded.
It is a beach of sand and gravel, surrounded by large areas of lawn and children's playground.
The site is monitored and has all the amenities (aid station, toilets, showers, instructions...).
Many snacks are arranged throughout the walk. So ideal to come with children.

The beach of Huveaune

Also known as "The surfers Beach" because of the many windsurfers and other practitioners of water slides that make up much of this sand beach public.
The site offers the best conditions for the practice of surfing in Marseille, but also kite surfing, fun board or body board.
But everyone can go, in terms of cohabit between bathers and surfers.
The water there is not always very clean, the OM call it "Peel beach" because of frequent problems of water pollution.

The beach, Borely

Located in front of the Borely Racecourse, this long and fine sand and gravel beach is divided into two distinct areas. The first right is composed of sand and is private. While the left part in gravel is public and has also an aid station.
At the back of the beach, on its long, a parking.
Not far from here the Borély stopover with its many bars and restaurants.

The Cove of Bonneveine Beach

The sandy beach stretches Horseshoe protected by two dams, and is also monitored.
Border, many restaurants, bars, snacks make a lively and popular with the Marseille site.
On the left, the "bowl" of skateboard & BMX, and on the right the Borély stop which is the appointment plugged with bars of nights and private beaches.

The beach of the old chapel

It is nestled in a small pretty Cove mixing sand, pebbles and rocks.
The water is deemed as being among the cleanest of the Seaside Park of the Prado. During the summer, the site has a monitoring and an aid station is nearby. Be careful though! swimming is allowed only on the right side of the beach. The rest is normally devoted to sports. Note that there is such a channel of water for kite surfing.
Here again, the vast lawns of the Prado are never far away. Between two swimming is good lounging on it or be tempted by the standing spectacle offered by the Bowl.
