Ideally located under the Cathedral of the Major, opposite the Mucem and the Port of La Joliette, the Halles de la Major is "a gastronomic market" where you can meet the artisans and producers who will make us discover their exceptional products. Spread over two levels, the shopkeepers welcome us in a friendly atmosphere.

From the greengrocer to the butcher, including the fishmonger, the cheesemonger, or the wine merchant, all varieties of flavors and quality products can be found there. As for sweets, the Italian grocery store and pastry shop will satisfy you. Not to mention the Halles glacier which appears as soon as the first fine weather arrives.

THE STALLS

THE BRASSERIE "LE CAFÉ DES HALLES"
Located on the ground floor, the brasserie "Le Café des Halles", operated by Julien Bottela and Julie Lagier, is the central island of the place.
Coffee and other drinks are served with sympathy, whether you are here to taste the products of our craftsmen or simply to go shopping. The Café des Halles is the quiet and friendly break of the Halles de La Major.

THE DELICATESSEN "LACASERTANE"
An Italian grocery store, La Casertane offers a wide selection of fresh Italian products: from Villani brand charcuterie (San Danièle 24 months, salami from Abruzzo...) to antipasti (Melanzane, Carciofi...) through cheeses (Sardinian Pecorino , Parmiggiano...) to dry products such as pasta, Panetone and Italian sauces.
You can also enjoy delicious homemade lasagna, eggplant parmiggiana and other pasta with the sauce of the day, to finish with the unmissable homemade tiramisu!

THE FISHMONGER "LA POISSONNERIE DES HALLES"
Eric Castro will offer you Mediterranean fish from our local fishermen but also from the Atlantic and the river. Worked in the purest fishmonger's tradition with great respect for the product, these fish will be available for take-away, delivery to your home or even for tasting on site with verrines.
Cooked dishes, grilled fish that you will have taken care to choose from the stalls, as well as all kinds of seafood (fish soup, canning, etc.), not to mention all the molluscs such as octopus, cuttlefish, squid,... !

THE BUTCHER'S SHOP "LA BOUCHERIE DES HALLES"
Come and discover and select meats of purely French quality. The Boucherie des Halles also offers you some exceptional pieces such as ">: Wagyu beef and Kobe beef (Japan), Black Angus (Ireland), as well as veal from Aveyron...
On sunny days, you will find a rotisserie with ">: Gers chickens, cockerels, lamb shoulder... It is with pleasure that the Boucherie des Halles offers you its homemade foie gras and its semi-cooked foie gras terrine. Products that you can eat on the spot, or take away.
For the most gourmet, you will taste dishes cooked by our young chef Valère Bourcet who cut his teeth with Frederic Anton.

LAFROMAGERIE "LA FROMAGERIE DES HALLES"
Located on the first floor, the Les Halles cheese dairy offers a wide range of quality cheese products, from fresh cheeses to pressed cheeses and Tome cheeses for example, there is something for everyone!
