It is a café, a deli and a caterer all in one.
All day long, Cécile* serves food and drink. Tasty cuisine, to be enjoyed on the spot or to take away everywhere. For a snack on the rocks. An aperitif at the beach. A boat trip to Friuli or the Calanques. An improvised dinette where you want to eat quickly, good and healthy... Here is a daily gourmet that delights those who are a little hungry in the best way!
Here everything is homemade, with the right products, delicatessen style. The sandwiches are made with good bread from the "Ludivine bakery" on Notre-Dame Boulevard; even the classic ham and butter is enhanced with cooked ham signed by the Basque Maison Louis Ospital; pan bagnat, American egg sandwich with herbs and homemade smoked trout... All the flavors and inspirations are available to you for salads billed by weight. Some dishes and plates prepared by the caterer are real nuggets: a melt-in-the-mouth beef tagliata, sardines with ricotta or sea bream with ginger, the famous vitello tonato, beef tataki with peanuts and soy or weights with tofu and citrus fruits... . Market gardeners from the area, fishermen from Marseille, coffee from the roaster Luciani, signature wines, ... All have been carefully selected to give you pleasure.
Ask for the aperitif box that will allow you to take with you everything you need for an aperitif by the water: spreads, salads, chilled local wines and even homemade cocktails in litron format!
* Cécile: she was the grandmother of Barthélémy Tassy, creator of CÉCILE FOOD CLUB with two childhood friends Paul Langlère (Sépia et Julis, ex Plaza Athénée) and Thibault Hillmeyer (Boxon Agency). Cécile always had something to snack on in the fridge and someone to talk to, no matter what time of day it was. In this spirit, "Cécile Food Club is a free place, freed from routine and hours of service, an authentic pantry where you can eat, drink and peck at your leisure, when you are hungry, and as you please"
** Cécile Food Club Malmousque: small cramped house, located on the Corniche Kennedy in Malmousque, fitted out and decorated by the architect Marion Mailaender, in the live of the 70's which evokes memories of childhood and holidays.
