It is the oldest bakery in Marseille!
Holy Street, on the sacred way leading to the Abbey Saint Victor, it belongs to the master craftsman Baker Jean-Claude Imbert and his son Nicolas, who for more than 200 years hold the secret of "the shuttle" recipe, tradition Marseillaise since 1781.

The octave of Candlemas begins on February 2, at 5: 00, with the procession of the black Virgin. The departure of the procession is given on the quay of the Belgians and goes back up to the Abbey of Saint-Victor. In front of the Abbey, the Archbishop of Marseilles, in the presence of the Mayor, is the blessing of the city, the sea and the Green candles of the Abbey, then celebrated the solemn mass of the festivals of Candlemas.
At 8, the Archbishop comes to the oven of shuttles for the blessing the oven, famous shuttles, of those who make them, those who sell and those who eat them!
Do you know the good luck of the Four des Navettes tandem? Keep a shuttle having received the blessing of the Archbishop and a green candle until Candlemas next to bring happiness to the family. A year later, burn the candle and eat the shuttle, because it keeps a whole year!

The shuttle of St. Victor, is a boat-shaped, Golden and slightly sweet, sweet delicately flavored with orange flower.
